An excellent sounding violin probably made by one of Sebastian Klotz’s sons or apprentices around 1790 in Mittenwald, Germany. Sebastian Klotz was one of the finest makers of the Klotz family with a sophisticated Amati-Stainer style, which he passed on to his three sons and four apprentices.
