The stringed instruments of the GEORG WALTHER series are the result of careful design, uncompromising choice of materials and the meticulous craftsmanship of our experienced luthiers.
All instruments in the comprehensive range are handcrafted according to the concept of Thomas Böhme in our German GEWA master workshops.
The tone begins in the wood.
The back and sides are made of hand-selected, beautifully flamed maple, and are complemented by a top, carefully crafted from fine-grained spruce. All woods are solid and exclusively of European origin.
The Georg Walther series from GEWA Made In Germany includes violins, violas, cellos and double basses in all common sizes and various varnishes.
Fitted with Wittner geared pegs for ease of tuning. Strung with Larsen Original viola strings.
